Entrepreneur Building Opportunity: Brownstone Magazine
A magazine that empowers young girls of color
Message from the Founder:
Our target audience (ages 13-19) is at a critical age where they unfortunately look to outlets such as the media to define their self image. Brownstone will serve as the perfect vehicle to confront historical stereotypical messages and images that have been used to demean the value and potential of Black women. We also have writing opportunities available. If you or anyone you know would like to guest blog or join our staff as a writer you are more than welcome. Our topics range from beauty, fashion, health, relationships, body image, politics, etc. Any issues that you think will help empower girls.

“Ultimately, happiness rests on how you establish a solid sense of self or being. Happiness does not lie in outward appearances nor in vanity. It is a matter of what you feel inside; it is a deep resonance in your life. To be filled each day with a rewarding sense of exhilaration and purpose, a sense of tasks accomplished and deep fulfillment- people who feel this way are happy. Those who have this sense of satisfaction even if they are extremely busy are much happier than those who have time on their hands but feel empty inside.” – Daisku Ikeda
